Jerry & Marge Go Large is inspired by the remarkable true story of retiree Jerry Selbee, who discovers a mathematical loophole in the Massachusetts lottery and, with the help of his wife, Marge, wins millions and uses the money to revive their small Michigan town.
Why is this film here? Because I became enamored with Annette Bening ever since I saw her in Bugsy (1991). Wow! What a sassy, incomparable performance that few actresses could pull off. Also from Ms. Bening in ’91 is, Guilty by Suspicion and Regarding Henry.
I don’t need to say anything more than I continue to be a huge fan of Ms. Bening’s work.
